ButcherBoy, thank you for confirming a long-held suspicion around stock lending. I read many years ago, that the exchange 'academics' support short-selling as means to a more efficient marketplace. However access to the opportunity is restricted to large holders and those able to borrow stock from custodians. These parties reap the benefit, not the medium and smaller holders.
