An update on "I was wrong" about IMU planning on getting into manufacturing and distribution.

CAR-T therapy is different from other cancer treatments.

1. T-Cells are a type of white blood cell called lymphocytes. They help your immune system fight germs and protect you from disease. There are two main types. Cytotoxic T-cells destroy infected cells. Helper T-cells send signals that direct other immune cells to fight infection.
   
2. CAR-T is about extracting the patient's T cells (at the clinic).
3. Transporting them to a purpose built lab (let's call it a manufacturing facility)
4. The calls are re-engineered to enable them to recognize and attack the patient's specific brand of cancer.
5. Sending them back to the clinic.
6. Re-injecting the upgraded T-Cells into the patient's body.

Looking at the Precision Bioscience's website, we see this diagram.

I am thinking IMU hasn't bought a generic pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, but a purpose built facility to process T-Cell samples at large scale.
