G'day dannyosprey, I can't speak for anyone else but my CLA investment thesis is based on a 3-5 year hold:

+ world-leading undeveloped Co resource (we should find out how world-leading in Q1 2019)

+ massive Co supply constraint given forecast future demand

+ current tech means Co is needed for all EV battery types: LCO (curent) and NCA/NMC (future), battery chemistry would need to significantly change to not need Co and there's nothing on the horizon (Panasonic/Tesla lead the way with NCA atm)

+ over 12 months cash on current balance of $10m and burn of $2m pq

+ quality MD and board, skin in the game

+ well-connected in Namibia via Gecko and dual-listing

+ Namibia has an established, stable mining sector.

So back to your points, of course the economics of the project will be impacted if the US or global markets fall out, but so will everyone's project. That's a macro call on the whole market rather than CLA specific.

I suspect they'll likely get finance or a strategic partnership out of Europe (gut feel) but who knows? Even if the market does tank, you might be able to scoop up lower in the ST, but in the MT if Co prices keep holding above $45-50k or even start pushing up again (as supply-demand forecasts would suggest), Opuwo will be a big goer! At the expense of FOMO don't be a LIFO...less cream on the cake when it's served!
