Easy? Probably not.
Viable? I personally think so but hence waiting on the scoping study.
Personally expect to see a combination of open pit to mine the shallower stuff to a reasonable strip ratio then underground to get the deeper stuff. From my previous conversations with Brendan this was always the thought process but they needed to work out at what point it becomes more economical to mine UG.
Mining costs per ton in Nambia are substantially lower than Aus. Apparently about $1.50 - $2 per tonne for open pit and $20 - $25 per tonne for underground.
Im assuming a strip ratio of up to 15 for the open pit. That should leave sufficient room for processing costs and a profit margin etc if our in rock value is about $150 per tonne.
