Not sure how good your German is, but the article of the below link outlines BMW intending to use blockchain technology to track the ethical origins of its cobalt ... just another indicator that there is demand for ethical cobalt and that it might attract a premium price in comparison to some of the stuff that comes out of the DRC. While Namibia is not mentioned alongside Kanada and Australia as ethical sources, I would assume that CLA would certainly qualify.
If carmakers are taking steps to ensure cobalt is mined ethically, we can hope that apple and others will follow.
