Not sure if this has been posted yet but it seems the London Metal Exchange (LME) will now police suppliers of cobalt on its exchange after an outcry about child labour in the supply chain. This is pretty major news as it's no longer incumbent on the buyers of the cobalt to ensure an ethical source - it's now down to the facilitators of the trade. DRC operators will need to really lift their game now as there may be no where to hide if they want to trade on LME. Could result in increase in Co prices as operators seek to improve working standards for the people actually doing the work.
