Hard to believe you couldn't see what's happening here. If you're a T20 holder and your friends are, surely you would see that there's no benefit to you at all to be declaring out loud that you would vote Yes for the deal at such an early stage. You'd be like a homeowner at an auction shouting "I'll go for that lowest offer for sure!". Why would you do that? You are shooting yourself in the foot here.

If you want to tout them, do it when it is closer to the deal closure, not now. Come on.

And the other huge assumption that you're making is that only SVM can see value in MCB. Just the fact that they've fired the first shot has now woken up the rest of the forest. Now there would be more than a few players hungry for an acquisition that must be paying closer attention to the economics of MCB, trying to suss out what SVM have seen that would make them offer this deal in the first place. The M&A action in the Copper space has been red-hot in recent times, there's no reason to believe that there are no other possible players out there sniffing for a good deal.
