I would like to clarify that my comment about being "back to square one" pertained only to those Alzheimer's therapies that have already failed in clinical trials. There remain several other interesting drugs still in clinical trials, for which we eagerly await results. Many of these remaining therapies target beta-amyloid production and clearance using novel mechanisms distinct from those that have failed.
