Combined with a standardised psychotherapy set during and following micro dosing the flight / fight response is tempered due to the 'calming' of the existing trauma response - this creates a new emotional memory ( anterior cingulate cortex attached to the amygdala) to that trauma issue and allows the hippocampus to adjust the intellectual memory response accordingly.
