Lets try to keep things on an even keel and just discuss shares and investments.

On the theme of value investing, have you ever backed a penny dreadful (preferably a changed business scenario) with the solid conviction that you have entered a long term value investment?

You just research the living daylights out of it ... and some ... and spend the next five years resisting the temptation to take early profits whilst riding the swings and roundabouts ... takes discipline and judgement.

Unlike true, current blue chips (which I also hold), large sums of money do not have to be risked (or quaranteened) to get a great return.

The principles and values are similar.
