The following was said about me on this thread:

"Let's call a spade a spade. You are relatively new to this game and you have read one book."

    Dear, oh dear, oh dear.

This person who made that comment has no idea who he is talking about. He has no idea how old that person is. He has no idea how long this person has been investing in the stock market.

He has no idea how successful that person is in his investing career.

He has no idea how many books that person has read. Or how big that person's personal library of investment books might be.

He has no idea of the reputation that that person may be held in in his own community.

He has no idea what that person might have published or written.

All I can say is, "Tsk, tsk."

Some people allow their epistemic arrogance to cloud what they write and what they presume.

No doubt there are many people on this forum who are long-term, successful, learned investors. But it might be worth their while to assume that there may also be other long-term, successful, learned investors who might be their peers - or perhaps even superior. And perhaps those other people use varying approaches to investing other than their own.

A little humility can sometimes be wise.

"The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool."

William Shakespeare, "As You Like It", Act 5 scene 1

    Cheers
