Martis was a legend trader who used to be on HotCopper. Very early in this bear market, like last august, Martis repeatedly tried to warn everyone about the coming storm. he told them that they should sell their positions and short the banks.

But the bulls became angry.....they did not like having their world tipped upside down. "who is this Martis ??" they would ask "and why is saying these things ??"

they all concluded that he was trying to panic the herd into selling for his own good and they became angry at Martis. Many accusations were levelled at martis as i recall and finally he was banished from hotcopper as he had caused so much anger amongst the bull herd.

However father time is the great leveller. time has proven Martis was right. had the bulls listened to Martis and existed their postions and shorted the banks they would all be much wealthier today.

Today I sure that Martis is sitting on a small island that he bought with his banks shorts smoking fine cigars and counting his money. He probably smiles when he remembers his time on hot copper.
