    In the 1940's the average time a share was held was estimated to be 7 years.

    In 2014 it was estimated to be 17 weeks.

    Last year it was 22 seconds, up from 20 seconds the previous year.

    Shares don't  stay in the bottom drawer for very long these days....Tim.
