Would it be possible to organise a class action against the Amp board who appear to be catering or designed the buyback specifically for the institution and professional investors.

It appears that the board overlooked the majority of passive investors who don’t actively engage in voting.
There are a number of companies were the board had taken into consideration of passive these investors and ignored the mantra, ‘buybacks are the most efficient way to return capital.’
This amounts that board took into consideration that not all investors and not only the active ones.

To me, it appears that the boards may be contriving a number of points in section 232 of the Corp Act.these

Amp should desist in continuing with the buyback!
