davo, read one of my ealier posts on Melrose (ANZ nominee) shareholdings. It is most appaling that even as of now, no one knows for certain how much of the Melrose shares had been sold. The 2005 annual report shows the shareholdings to be reduced in excess of 10s of millions shares yet, the CMQ announcement after Melrose resign show no changes.

All shareholders should keep an eye out on this issue as a failure (or even misleading announcement) by CMQ to announce the sale is a breach of the ASX ruling especially at this crucial moment.

There is no point in guessing, just keep an eye on the news.
