"The captain goes down with the ship" is a maritime tradition that a sea captain holds ultimate responsibility for both his ship and everyone embarked on it, and that in an emergency, he will either save them or die trying.
I really wonder what compensation the director's and others received when they fled like fleas after being exposed. They were suppose to be the captain of our company, but like cowards they just jumped off the ship first before anybody else to save their greedy selves with total disregard to the passengers (shareholder's), just let them sink and drown.
Total weaklings who followed the same approach of the Captain of Costa Concordia.
