Jadel I think that you may be being overly cautious re the CA. As far as I can tell from my reading about CAs, the ones with good outcomeswere reliant on the strenght of the plaintiffs’ case and the depth of the defendants’ pockets. If the defendant is a big multi-national like BP (eg Gulf of Mexico), a pre-trial settlement is often the case. (Settlement avoids widespread adverse media coverage of a trial). If a CA goes to trial, then an appeal can follow, lengthening the process. I think that we can only wait and wait. 10 cents in the dollar would be a cruel end.
