I think the real beef here is that the CEO repeated relatively recently that they would likely make the target of $34m in annual revenue, and probably many people bought shares (myself included) thinking that the company was undervalued if they really could do that. They were happy to support the company's CR to help them get there.
Missing the target by so much has undermined confidence and trust, although the emotional response seems to be a bit extreme. Like I said, maybe investors are overlooking the positive picture that does exist, and are throwing the baby out with the bath water.
