Disagree, it is never acceptable for when shareholders are misled by officers of the company.
Losing money due to a poor investment decision, all fair and reasonable, however losing money to dishonest behaviour and misrepresentations used to entice investment, and allowing the offending parties to hide behind a corporate veil is completely unacceptable for a fair and efficient market. Market integrity is critical.
