I've recently come back to IMU having sold out at what I thought might be over-inflated prices (company was valued at $2 billion); I was lucky enough to buy in at a cheap price and I feel that the current price is actually cheap. However, IMU operates in an area that is in desperate need of revolutionary ways of tackling cancer. Having lost my nephew, who was more of a son than a nephew at age 27, to an aggressive and rare cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma), immunotherapies such as those being developed/licensed by Imugene are desperately needed. I have lost money in the past on biotech companies (e.g. Polartechnics, Ventracor) which is one reason why I sold out of IMU that I thought might be a little inflated, but in all honesty, I really had no clue as companies like IMU would be worth many multiples of $2 billion dollars should its immunotherapies offer significant improvements to rates of survival, and be approved by the likes of the FDA.

Notwithstanding my prior losses and gains in the biotech sector, changing the Board of Imugene would be an irresponsible move, in my humble opinion. The very nature of the field in which Imugene and similar companies operate in, is one where there will be highs and lows and it does take significant time to get from clinical studies to the approval stage. Changing the board would mean taking a few steps backward, which in a highly specialised biotech company involved in immunotherapies would be a bad call.

I do think the Azer-cel (Azercabtagene Zapreleucel) licensing announcement is very positive, though it's stil very early days given the very limited number of research papers available on Azercabtagene Zapreleucel.
