Does a class action get precedence over secured bank lenders? If not then all a class action would do is ensure OZL goes broke. Assets are sold, banks take whats left and no one else gets anything. Class actions I guess could be successful against a company that has cash but what is the point if the company basically has no money?
Shareholders would be better served by trying to help the company get out of their debt situation because once the resource market turns again, OZL have some magnificent cash-producing assets.
May be a little while before it turns thats the only problem.
