To sign, or not to sign, that is the question. I.e. should we sign up with IMF’s class action or not? [By 27/2/09]
If we sign up and IMF wins we get something, maybe not much, but something, and the value of our shares is diluted by the amount of the payout.
If we don’t sign up and IMF wins then we get nothing, and the value of our shares is still diluted by the amount paid to the litigants and lawyers.
If IMF loses then the whole issue is irrelevant anyway since the shareholder participants are not called on to pay the costs unless IMF goes broke.
So, on the surface, it seems wise to sign up with IMF. Yes? No?
