with this new health insurance rip-off, the great Pilbersek "if it ain't fixed - ruin it and milk it anyway" fraud, the Government reaps from those who scrimp to stay in Private Health Insurance, because they desperately need their own specialists. we don't want to be cast onto the pile of any old doctor - queques and seeing a succession of unknown doctors in an impersonal clinics where one is just a computer number, or huge waits for "elective" surgery (in my case its not elective at all, but a left-over injury from a previous medical malpractice event, which occurred in a public hospital - not my fault!). The millions they rake in, I'll bet anyone now, will put millions straight back into consolidated revenue.
