Aerial imagery captures Barangaroo’s evolution since 2010
Geospatial mapping and visual analytics company, Nearmap has unveiled a series of aerial photographs documenting the transformation of the Barangaroo precinct since development began in 2010.
After being closed to the public for over a century, the first part of the $6 billion urban renewal project, the Barangaroo Reserve was recently opened with the 22-hectare western edge of Sydney Harbour showing a dramatic transformation in the last four years.
Nearmap has released a series of exclusive photographs taken at various stages of Barangaroo's evolution from January 2010 to September 2015.
The aerial pictures show how the Barangaroo precinct transformed from pure concrete to a green foreshore park with more than 75,000 plants. The construction of Barangaroo South and Central Barangaroo is still underway, and is scheduled for completion towards the end of 2019
