The Global Methane Pledge is very real, and growing. There are now 150 countries on board. The goal is to reduce methane emissions by 30% by 2030 (from 2020 levels). Waste dump emissions are a massive problem, given that 20% of the worlds methane emissions come from this source. Methane has a global heating effect that is 28 times greater than Co2 (carbon dioxide) therefore if a carbon credit (ACCU) for a tonne of Co2 is valued at say $70, a credit for a tonne of methane would be $1960. Get it? as i keep saying the earning potential is massive. Note the terminology in the link below "carbon-partnership". A "carbon partnership" with a waste operator like Cleanaway has mind-boggling earning potential.
And they are far from the biggest on a Global scale, Waste Management Inc. in the USA is a $62Billion company with 300 waste dump sites, thats a lot of Methane..!! Major global companies are scouring the world for offsets to their emissions, this partnership is primed to take advantage of that opportunity.
