o pb.....I chuckled to myself when I read this. All sounds so familiar. We have boxes stacked at the back and sides of our garage, boxes under the stairs, boxes in the wineroom (along with the wine). Boxes in cupboard in second bedroom. There are my husband's parent's momentos in boxes under the stairs, my hubby's barrel with his Markham Trainset, etc., boxes and boxes and boxes of photos due to past interest, we have New York daughter stuff in boxes (she too was interested in photography), other daughter boxes marked to go to her in garage. Still stuff here from when Mum was living with us. Now, there are boxes and boxes of memories from her place we just sold. Boxes of Estate papers and records in the Study....no room for our stuff....hence the clear out. It will take some time. 7.30am the other day I was sitting on our bedroom floor sorting piles of stuff. Hubby came and told me the guy was here to fix alarm system and needed to enter to access the manhole....scooped it all up.....I reckon it added another 3 hours to sorting/filing as it all got mixed up.
I remember when we first entered our shining new place....I said 'now, I am not going to let this place become cluttered'.....that didn't last long as unexpected things happen. Our daughter is now talking about shipping her stuff back from NY ready for when she returns.....ummmmmm....!!
So, my intention is to get this place ship shape in case someone comes along and offers us a couple of million (tongue in cheek here....fat chance)...!!!
