Bikes emit far less carbon dioxide than cars but some bikes emit more carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide etc.
I think it depends on the age of bike and the quality of the emission filter thingys.
I remember seeing a graph a while back showing how petrol bikes and scooters far exceed car emissions of carcinogenic stuff. Also the have bad environmental effects.
