I would expect hotter, drier conditions to cause more fierce bushfires (all else being equal).
Why then aren't we fighting bush fires in the tropics?
Simple, we get a hot, dry early summer every year which burns off most years. We never get the fuel load build up I hear of in the south.
These simple "answers" are simply wrong.
