Agree with you. The PM needed to say something after all the government puts out a lot of advertising against violence or abuse of women so when a rogue cleric tries to use religion to to justify such abuse it needs condemnation. The PM made it clear that the practices espoused by the cleric concerned was counter to what mainstream Australian Muslims believe and various spoklespeople for the mainstream community have reiterated the Pms view.
