The Port of Baltimore, where acontainership crashed into abridge overnight, is the ninth largest port by trade volumes, movingaround 50 million tons of international bilateral trade in 2023. The crashcould affect port operations for months, officials say.
It's particularly important to segments including coal exports andcar imports—it was tops in both categories last year—as well as containers andchemicals. This chart illustrates its rank for container imports last year.
