Methane cannot add to warming of the atmosphere because it absorbs outgoing IR radiation at the frequency of 4 microns, this frequency is already fully absorbed by the dominant greenhouse gas water vapour.
Just like the cow farts junk science, cows are part of the carbon cycle, grass absorbs carbon from the atmosphere and cows put it back.
If the grass decays on the ground uneaten it releases methane.
