Perhaps if I say it again................
Methane cannot add to warming of the atmosphere because it absorbs outgoing IR radiation at the frequency of 4 microns, this frequency is already fully absorbed by the dominant greenhouse gas water vapour.
It cannot make any difference to the greenhouse effect.
In the range of wavelengths where CO2 can absorb IR radiation, absorption by the atmosphere is nearly complete, adding
more CO2 to these wavelengths is not expected to have a significant effect.
