There's a few posts here filled with misinterpretation's and mistruths, I'll start with yours.

Yes, there is no correlation between only CO2 and only temperature on earth. But guess what? There is also no correlation between only solar output and temperature on earth either! The sun has been gradually getting stronger for the last 500 million years. (if I recall correctly, its something like 1% stronger per 100 million years) So, a solar output/temperature graph would look like this


With the red line illustrating a gradual (5%) stronger solar output. It would be ridiculous to claim therefore the sun has no impact on the earths temperature right?



And so when you compare the two major long term variables (Solar output & Co2) you get a very good correlation.
