Global warming comes first then the CO2.
It's not to say pollution, fossil fuels, environment are not serious problems which should be addressed. It's just not the correlation it's been presented as. Our climate is still determined by the spin of the earth, the big yellow thing, volcanic activity and dust migration.
Also if it was co2 causing the warming it would be even over the planet, where the Northern Hemisphere is heating up way more than the southern, typical pattern experienced at the end of ice ages.
