For many words there are more ways to define or use depending on the desired effect.

The boy who cried wolf is a wonderful children's tale cautioning kids to be honest and even if it seems like fun to shout "Fire" and watch everyone jump about all scared, it generally ends with the kid being thrashed and ostracised by the town.

So is the case for "Alarmists" everywhere. The worst alarmists are those who say "Ooh its all tosh... the stars can't fall" as the asteroid bares down on the town.

Now the Boy had no wolf in the vicinity, no facts to base his shouting alarum... whereas global warming is well documented by the scientific experts. This means that the evidence is abundant and increasing daily. The risks and present dangers of global warming are evident now if you care to do a little genuine searching of scientific websites.... DYOR.

There is another Boy in town who says there is no such thing as a wolf and that the sheeples who are herded from idea to idea by Sky After Dark (SAD) experts in vacuous verbalisations of nonsense say that wolves don't even like to attack sheeples because they're thin and tinny and don't taste any good....

Now we all know that people are very gullible and subject to believe what they're told by their friends rather than by genuine experts.... this is why every nation has at least two sides to politics..... whereas, its only my unimportant opinion, if experts were managing the nation, the economy wouldn't have such bumps and bubbles and potholes, the scientific community would be churning out new inventions every day and business would be making a motza from said inventions.

Instead we have politicians whose main expertise is how to tell lies and get away with it.
