    Hey Dogby,

I am neither a global warmingest nor a flatearther or climate change denier.

My only problem with the whole concept of global warming is thus...

for Millenia, the earth has gone through climate cycles, the saharan desserts were once green, the russian tundra was once grassland, Australia was covered with dense greenery and supported macro fauna (wombats as big as rhinos)

the current floods and deluges we are seeing in Australia occurred 100 years ago, heck even in the seventies Brisbane was hit by similar floods to what we are seeing today... inland Australia has huge dry riverbeds, that in living memory have seen no water, yet henry lawson wrote tales of enormous floods in the centre, and hapless swagmen being washed away by huge flash floods.

Why are these things specifically in Australia only now due to global warming... what about 100 years ago? was it global warming then? what about 1000 years ago was it global warming then?

that concerns me.. why now? And sorry but, the hash made of the collected figures and the "leaked" emails of two years ago from climate change researchers diddling figures to suit their theories really took the shine off the whole global warming argument... it may be true, but meh

The trouble with theories n particularly "current" ones is that they get so politicised and I reckon half the reason the "rolling eyes" happen is that you get a bunch of screamers shouting out that it is due only to such n such, closing minds to other possibilities n the rest of the population kinda gets a little sick of it... don't stop it necessarily being true but sure as heck does no favours to the screamers.

    ;)
