Dogby, I think it depends on which prominent denier they are following today.
Is it Monckton - who has said global warming is real, but it's not going to warm very much. Then he's also said that it's cooling. And he's also said a lot of other contradictory things.
Or is it Plimer - who has shown that dolomite proves that CO2 is not a greenhouse gas, and said the sun is made of iron, and that a single belch from a volcano can cool the earth (and other ridiculous stuff).
Or is it Carter - who keeps mumbling about PDOs.
Or is it Lindzen, who also says warming is real, but the clouds will stop it from getting too hot. And in any case, he doesn't see any problem with 5 degrees of warming (of course he doesn't, he'll be well and truly dead by then).
I think that just about covers the denier mob. Oh, wait a minute - there's Delingpole who says he doesn't read science papers but 'interprets the interpreters' - and thinks it's all a big scam because he enjoys his lifestyle. And I can't forget Watts, who still doesn't understand what a temperature anomaly is.
There are lots of hangers on - like Goddard, who reckons the arctic ice is growing. Even WUWT had to agree that was going a bit too far.
And a couple of denier chums like Curry who know the world is warming dangerously, but for political and personal reasons play up to deniers.
