Good point confident. A study released last week indicated that reducing Australia's power emissions by 30% would lead to a 25% increase in power bills over 20 years -1% per year or thereabouts. That's a negligible cost compared to the risks of inaction. The only people who really stand to lose are the vested interests in the coal industry, who unfortunately have Howard's ear.
Why do we need to discuss the possible causes for all eternity? Like it or not the verdict is in, time to move on to dealing with the problem.
