Thanks for the 4 point summary jgunter99.

    1. The climate is always changing but does this Bolt character address the current rate of climate change? The current rate of global warming is potentially catastrophic and already the catastrophes are mounting. Many recent extreme weather events are closely linked to this warming. Recent blizzards in both America and Europe are associated with unusually warm arctic weather.

Here is a NY Times reference which takes a balanced look at the US blizzard

    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/11/science/earth/11climate.html

Denialist/sceptics assert the blizzards are evidence of cooling but this is the simplistic view. Read the entire article for the balanced view.

One quote from climate scientist Dr Masters cited in the above reference

?Of course,? he wrote on his blog Wednesday as new snows produced white-out conditions in much of the Eastern half of the country, ?both climate-change contrarians and climate-change scientists agree that no single weather event can be blamed on climate change.

?However,? he continued, ?one can ?load the dice? in favor of events that used to be rare ? or unheard of ? if the climate is changing to a new state.?

As I get time I will address the other points in your Bolt shortlist.
