"We had no excuse for not knowing this was untrue because successive government reports told us the contrary. One we got just before the carbon tax was abolished, from the Climate Change Authority, said the two superpowers were stepping up their actions to reduce emissions. ''These measures could have a significant impact on global emissions reductions,'' it concluded."

And if we or anyone believed that they would fully accept the tooth fairy.

For heavens sake, there mustn't be much to write about at the moment Rossco.

One, it was blindingly obvious that the world wouldn't cooperate BEFORE the conference. Did anyone think human nature would magically turn around after hundreds of thousands of years? Another tooth fairy job.

Two --------- just what the hell does anyone think if everyone in Australia just went out into the desert and lived in a cave would do to the world climate?

Australia isn't even the full stop on the end of the paragraph.

All we have managed to do is to mark down our own economy.

Our two main political parties are completely inept - for different reasons, but the result is the same.

Some pressure from green types makes it worse - none of them could run a fete. The present mob probably do it slightly better - but they self admit they do things for political purposes as opposed to the good of the nation or the world.

In short --------- personally, I think Australia should get over trying to be something and get on with looking after itself.

We are not big enough to make a difference - we do not have the power of a mosquito in a bedroom.

We do not have the brains. Worse still we do not have the right ideas and more importantly for the right reasons.

Rossco should do all of us a favour and start a sports column.

    have a great day all

    Pinto
