Here are my views on climate change

1. No one can dispute that the climate is changeing
2. No one could dispute that man over the last 200 years has not had a impact on climate
3. However you would have to be foolish to just accept that the climate is changing becuase of man made C02 emmissions
4. The climate predictions from the climate models over the last 20 years have been 100% wrong. C02 emmissions have continued to rise yet temperature have remained flat. Yet scientists contine to claim Climate Change is real. This is infact unscientific. A real Scientist would acknowlege that their previous conclusions may be wrong and that further research is required However
5. All of the money is invested on one side of the argument so you will never get any real debate
6. If your a scientist or a acedemic you wont get a job if you dont believe in climate change. So it's easy to say that most sceintist believe. Off cource they do. They wont have a job if they dont believe
7.C02 is only about .004% of the atmosphere. Of that man made Co2 is only around 4%. 96% is natural.
8. Of man made Australia is around 1.5%
9. So the argument here is if human reduce Co2 emmissions by 10% we can have a impact. So that would mean that Co2 emissions in the atmosphere would be 96.1% Natural, man made 3.9%. Instead of 96% and 4%. That just a rounding error and could not be used to form any cientific conclusion
10. If you look at Australia then we are totally insignificant

11. What is surprising is that HC is a share trading site. If a company was to present you with this sort of argument it would have no credibilty.

12. And the bottom line is . Even if Climate change is real we can do nothing about preventing it as the large growing emmitters of China and India are not going to stop providing their people with basic necessities such as electricity.

13. And after the Chinese and Indians become more affluent it will be the poor african countries ramping up C02 emmissions as they also have the benefits of electricty.

14. The only way the really plan for climate change is not to try and stop it. Becuase it cant be stopped. But to adapt so that if it was to happen in the future man would be ok.

15. So when people want to talk about climate change I have no interest. It's a futile debate. We in Australia can do nothing to stop it so why waste any money on it

16 As a policy the libs is far better as it wastes the least amount on money and power bill dont rise

17. The worst policy is a ETS. This get promoted as the least cost and the free market approach. But that is completely wrong. While it may be the cheapest method for Australian business for a problem we cannot impact it is the worst method for Australian's. At ETS essentially means that Australian companies can buy co2 credits from other countries around the world. It does however do nothing to reduce co2 emissions in Australia and worse still consumers are payimg money to foreign companies so that we here in Australia can have electricity which we already have.

At least with a carbon tax the money goes to the govt who can then use that monet to provide service to Australian's

With a ETS Australian's could easilly pay money to countries such as China via higher power bills just to meet these emisisions targets which are actually pointless. Can you imagine how stupid that is. If the general public actually understood how a ETS works they would revolt. I would go a step further and say if politions actually anderstood a ETS they would be horrified.
