The current floods are on a par with 1974, so I assume global warming caused those floods...nearly 40 years ago.
The current floods are not as full as the 1897 (?), so I also assume global warming was just as bad or worse over 100 years ago.
The destruction of course is worse with mush more densly populated towns and cities.
