Today's Australian reports that the government is thinking about dissolving the Climate Change department and merge it with another department.

The 1094 staff members work in Canberra (6 star offices), Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and 2 in SAMOA!

On page 2 of the Australian there is a list of incredible costs including 13 coffee machines at a total of $45,500. 30 bags of coffee beans are bought every 3 or 4 weeks at an annual cost of $9500. The department says "the coffee machines were purchased in order to "positively impact on staff morale and productivity".

There were also training and leadership courses. Including one on "credit card acquittal" (perhaps Peter Slipper runs that), "giving and receiving feedback" and "influencing and relationship building".

The Climate Change department is part of a "$1.6 billion behemouth....to administer the carbon tax".

All of this, of course, is funded by the tax payers.
