CO2 causing global warming is real enough. The fraud is that most pollies' understanding is as ignorant and misguided as that of the first poster, yet they publicly pretend to believe it for the potential gains. These could hypothetically include using sea level rise to stop a waterfront development so that their friends can get the land cheaply and develop it themselves. Then there are multi million dollar grants to "research" ideas with as much scientific merit as dousing. And the ideas with promise get little help because their mates in the ff industry know what'll happen when renewables become cheaper than coal. Australia could be a participant in the renewable fuel revolution. Instead, vested interests and ignorant pollies look like making us customers for foreign technologies.
