Technology is changing. Its not a political effort that causes it.
What I care about is cheap and reliable power. Coal and gas face permanent expense hurdles of mining and transporting a resource before dealing with the biproducts.
Solar and wind need batteries as back up but dont have these permanent supply chain hurdles. With improving technology (not politics), energy companies will decreasingly choose coal and gas as its not as cost effective.
