that's exactly the craziness ------- although we cannot do anything about it - we most certainly can begin to mitigate the damage from it and prevent damage in the future - and, those efforts would naturally stop emissions - that's the silliest part of it IMO
I think we need a disaster ----------- a real live one right in our own front yards of all of us so we can seriously focus
one good size meteorite with a few added sun outbursts might do it ---------- dust up some places - no solar, stuff up the wind turbines, trash the transmission lines, cut off the comms, blacken the sky for a while
