    Hi there Moby

I don't know why you think climategate is mislabeled. It seems quite apt to me.
Whoever leaked those documents deserves our thanks. Perhaps one day they may feel able to step out and receive recognition for what they did. They must have seen Phil and the team hiding information that needed to see the light of day.
Phil and his comments about deleting rather than complying with a FOI request doesn't inspire confidence. Nor does his claim that he won't give it to Steve McIntyre "because he will only want to find mistakes in it" or somesuch. Obviously Phil didn't have much confidence in his own data to have such an attitude. I find it curious that you seem to have great faith in his integrity, if he were a "denier" I'm sure you would be all over it, never to let it go. As you can see, I haven't mentioned climategate before tonight for ages. i know that AGW enthusiasts would like to forget it, but that's not a reason for anyone else to.
The copyright reasons that you mention seem a little lame as Phil was able to share the information with his buddies, and did share with Steve Mcintyre until he realised that he was a potential critic then stated that he would hide behind confidentiality agreements to withhold them. Hardly inspiring behaviour.
I had a look at the link, will read it again tomorrow, bedtime now

    cheers
