    there is arguement that economies follow long cycles

    eg armstrong has argued that we have 51.6 year cycles

    based on this arguement we could have a lot further to fall

    the dow fell 90% in the great depression

    it has only fallen 50%. It may have another 40% to go and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

    all fiscal and monetary policy is useless

    a similar arguement is used to disprove the global warming climate change argument

    climate change might be cyclical and it wouldn't matter what we did it wouldn't work.

    all this business of carbon trading and planting trees etc could all be just p.. in the wind

    a complete waste of time
