    I suspect you are right; I sense that ultimately the planet's energy policy map will end up at some form of the nuclear option; it just depends on the routes that individual jurisdictions take to get there. Some countries are going there quite directly (some are already there); others are going to arrive there via some kinds of circuitous routes.

    But one thing is quite discernable in the debate around energy, and that is that there is some meaningful walking back of the Wind+Solar combination:
