The 80s was greenhouse effect. Climate change is the big scare wood used to get your attention. CSIRO early modelling was pretty much positive for Australia - more carbon possibly meaning more plant life and rain. But according to early alarmist gumph my in laws place should have already been underwater. But Twiggy's lethal humidity is a bit of a laugh really as apparently there is still moisture in the air! I come from Mildura and folks around here get anxious if there's a few clouds in the sky as humidity is no good (lethal) for grapes.
